Where did we come from?

     In November 1957 Grace Baptist Church (Baptist General Conference) and Calvary Baptist Church (General Association of Regular Baptists) of Crown Point merged to become First Baptist Church of Crown Point. In September 1958 it became affiliated with the Baptist General Conference. The church continued to use both church facilities through the 1970’s until construction for the new building was completed in November 1977 on 109^th Avenue (Hwy 231). In the early 1990’s the congregation voted to change the name of the church from First Baptist Church to Hillside Community Church.
